A crisp, bubbly taste of fall for warm October afternoons.

Central Florida autumn does not always call for hot cider and wool sweaters. Sometimes the better answer is something cold, refreshing, and just festive enough to remind you that fall has arrived. This Sparkling Apple Cider Spritz brings together crisp apple flavor and plenty of bubbles, with an easy option to make it either a cocktail or a mocktail.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz. chilled apple cider
  • 3 oz. sparkling water or club soda
  • 2 oz. Prosecco, optional
  • 1 oz. apple brandy or bourbon, optional
  • Ice
  • Thin apple slices
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary sprig

Directions

  1. Fill a large wine glass or tumbler generously with ice.
  2. Pour in the apple cider and sparkling water.
  3. For the cocktail version, add Prosecco and apple brandy or bourbon. For a mocktail, simply add a little extra sparkling water.
  4. Stir gently and garnish with apple slices, a cinnamon stick, and a sprig of thyme or rosemary.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy while cold and bubbly.

Tip: If you are serving a group, chill everything ahead of time and let guests add their own spirits—or skip them entirely. That makes it easy to serve both cocktail and mocktail versions from the same setup.

🍎 Fall in Central Florida may still feel like summer, but that does not mean we cannot enjoy the flavors of the season. Pour something cold, head outside, and make the most of October.
