Cool Fact
Ever wonder where the saying “cool as a cucumber” came from? Cucumbers are literally cool to the touch, especially compared to the surrounding air on a warm day. The inside of a cucumber can be up to 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature due to its high water content—about 96% water. This natural characteristic gave rise to the saying!
