Easy Peach Cobbler: A Fun and Easy Recipe in Time for Peach Cobbler Day

This easy peach cobbler will be a fun, easy addition to your Easter menu or Peach Cobbler Day celebration - April 13th, in case you forgot.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15 oz) can of sliced peaches in syrup (or fresh peaches with a bit of sugar and juice)

 

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place butter in a 9x9 or 9x13 baking dish and put it in the oven to melt while it preheats.
  3. In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the dish (do not stir).
  5. Spoon the peaches (with juice/syrup) evenly over the batter. Again, do not stir.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm—optionally with vanilla ice cream!
