Red, White & Blue Berry Trifle Cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought pound cake (or angel food cake)
  • 1 pint strawberries, sliced
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Make the whipped cream: In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. Prep the cake: Cut the pound cake into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Layer in cups or a trifle dish:
    Start with cake cubes,
    Add a layer of whipped cream,
    Then a layer of strawberries and blueberries.
    Repeat as desired, finishing with whipped cream and a few berries on top.

Tips:

  • Serve in clear plastic cups for easy grab-and-go portions.
  • Add small American flag picks or sparklers (unlit!) for a festive touch.
